Fine Art      Illustration      Graphic Design

I am an independent fineartist specializing in figurative, portrait, landscape and wildlife originals. I work in pastel, charcoal, Conte, oil pastel, watercolor and acrylic paint either separately or in mixed media. My formal training was in Communication Design from Parsons The New School of Design in New York City where I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1982. Drawing and painting is something that I have always excelled at and came naturally to me though I did not study fine art in college. I attended the Art Students League in New York City and continued to expand my skills as an artist after graduation on a part time basis while I worked as a full time graphic designer and assistant art director. Since I was a teenager I attended life drawing sessions in Huntington, N.Y., Hoboken, N.J., Naperville, IL and Chicago, IL.  Practicing drawing is something I wish to continue and believe every time an artist draws they train their eye. It’s how an artist improves whether there is  a definitive outcome from it or not. It is important to keep a sketchbook and draw from a live model whenever  possible. I have been a member of the Naperville Art League since 2008 and a member of the Dupage Art League since 2014 and have displayed my work in numerous art shows at both art leagues earning several merit awards. I now have my own website showcasing more of my original artwork. Prints are available for most of my works and are sent unframed. Originals can be matted and framed by me per customer personal request.
